Hi rabbit-owners,

I still have open questions/problems with eMail alert :-(

I set up a keyword. It is "rabbit" now I have recognized that it is only working when the word is in the BEGINNING of the subject!?
When I make a subject like "message to the rabbit" my Nabaztag NEVER recognizes the new mail. However did I sent mails in the correct format and it also did not recognize them. And if recognized a mail it never said "the mail you were waiting for has a rrived"!?

Now my question:

1) is the keyword also recognized WITHIN the subject?

2) Why is he only showing the lights and not the sound even audioflash is set to OUI

3) how often does the rabbit look up the pop server? (what is maximum time interval between sending a message and getting it on the rabbit?)

thanks for help

Hi,

You have to enter a word which is going to be in the email adress of the sender (for example : patrick.swazee@hotmail.com if you wanna be alerted by your rabbit that this person send you a mail, you have to put patrick as keyword) or in the subject of the mail.

@aerosmiss: I disagree with your statement!!!

according a statement from violet from Jan 16th (https://nabaztag.forumactif.fr/If-you-do-not-speak-french-f8/Rabbit-s-services-f16/News-Flash-Update-from-VIOLET-Jan-16th-t3958.htm)

is says: The filter applies to both the e-mail address of the sender AND to the subject of the e-mail.

Ok ok... You don't have to be overexcited MDR

You can put it in the e-mail adress OR I in the subject.... yellownabzwink

yes, but I STILL don't know if it is allowed if the word is WITHIN the subject ...

I sent 3 mails with the following subjects:

1) rabbit ... message was received
2) this is a message to my rabbit ... NOT received
3) rabbit ... message was NOT received

THAT makes me a bit confused ... :-(

I also still don't know how often the pop server is checked by Violet ...

I just wanted to make a "bump" because my question is still not answered ...

as far as I understood now the keyword has to be EXACT the subject.
Which means if the keyword is "rabbit" the subject must not be "a message to your rabbit" ...

But I still have problems with the sender's email ...

aerosmiss said, that the keyword has to be in the senders email-address.

but when I set the keyword to "michael" and I get an email from michael.somebody@provider.com the rabbit does NOT recognize this message ...

any ideas?

thanks for answers

It's not working for me either. I really don't want to have to use filters to begin with.

Ok. The e-mail alerts don't working for me neither. I just can tell you what is was before december. For example, I have a friend call Julian. If I wanna be alerted when he is sending me a mail, I have to put Stach as keyword because his mail adress contains Stach and not Julian. As it, when he send me a mail or if there is a mail with Stach in the object, I receive an alert.

That was before the server migration... Now... Well, I just can think it's the same way.

Yes.

For example, I made an alert for several friends : patricia, samy, matthew etc.... When it's working (huh?) you can allocate a specific music or sound for each alert. If you have a program to record all the sounds on your computer, you can go on this website : http://www.acapela-group.com/

Record your specific message alert, for example : you have a mail from Patricia and allocate it on the keyword Patricia. A friend got 27 specific alerts going with 27 keywords yellownabzwink

@aerosmiss: just to make it sure: PRESENTLY your bunny is also NOT working correctly, is it?

I tested now for nearly 2 weeks and got NO functioning email alert and on Valentine's day the "free phase" is over :-(

So, the e-mail alerts just work on my tagtag, still out on the tag. The specific sounds related to a specific keyword don't work.
For the Valentine's day thing it's working fine for me. I send you one did you have it?

Hi,
What is a GMX account?

When you set up your alerts, did you choose the light alert? The sound alert? Both of them?

GMX is a eMail provider (http://www.gmx.net)

I set audio flash to OUI
Light language to OUI (but it is set to NON automatically when I store my settings)

The keyword is set to "sabine" , sound is "default alert" and in the light language the keyword flag is set ...

Addition:
today I played with my little bunny again. I tried to remove the filter and now it tells me the messages ... Unfortunately THIS WAY does not make sense for me as I get many emails a day. I want to be alerted on specific senders only (like aerosmiss wrote in a former post).
But as soon as I define a keyword (sabine, michael, andreas, ...) the bunny won't alert me any more :-(
