I'm new here, my rabbit shipped out today.

I have a quick question on the e-mail alerts. When I get a e-mail alert on the rabbit and I'm not near it can I play back the alert on the bunny or does one of the lights stay on to let me know that I do have e-mail.

The sound of the mail alert will not be displayed again. But you can choose to have a luminous alert who will show you if you have some mails. One light = one mail, two lights = two mails, thee lights = 3 mails or more.

When the lights are only flashing, it means that you have no mails.

Lights stay on until you read the e-mails. I assume it keeps checking at set intervals to see if you have e-mails but I don't know how frequently.

Does the rabbit read out the mails? I just get flashing lights on mine (No warning sound either)

The purple light above the bunny's nose is normally flashing when it's read something only once.

If you press on the button on the top of the bunny's head once it will read the last message again and then archive it. If you press on the button on the top of the bunny's head twice, like a double-click on a mouse, the message will be archived without being read.

I meant the email warning (with the purple light on the belly) Do you only hear the alert once. I have an email but never heard any sound for it.

The light is right on the nose.

The alert is read only once. To hear it again you need to push on the button on the top of the head.

Are you not hearing any sound whatsoever? If so you should check out the volume control in the back of the bunny.

Hi Sorry if I was a bit confusing. I meant actually the email alerts rather than the message. Also I meant the light in the middle of the rabbit (One light for one email, two lights for 2 emails etc)

I am not sure if the email alert just makes a noise and leaves the lights on to tell you, or if it actually reads the email (maybe just the subject)

regarding the email setup I still have not found an answer to the following question:

how often will the pop-server be checked by the rabbit?

My rabbit showed ONE purple light at the belly meaning there is ONE message in the box. Now I started my email clinet and checked my mails. Therefore the message was delweted from my pop-server but the rabbit still showed its purple light. After about 2 or 3 hours the light STILL was ON. So I removed the power and rebooted the rabbit. Thereafter the light was gone ... This can't be a "normal" behaviour can it?

So please can someone tell me WHEN and HOW the rabbit recognizes that the mail he is telling about has been read and therefore removed from the server?

help! my bunny will not setup to read me my yahoo email. i've tested it on microsoft outlook, so i know i am not doing anything wrong. but, when i click activate on nabaztag it says there is a problem. anyone? PLEASE!!!!!

yahoo.com mail service is not a free service. So Violet server cannot access to mail.yahoo.com server.
