And here are the step-by-step set-up instructions
Setting up your Nabaztag :
To connect your Nabaztag to the "NabizDead.net" server, you just have to get your Nabaztag in configuration or « ad-hoc » mode and to type www.nabizdead.net in the "Violet Platform" field at the bottom of the set-up page.
Then, your Nabaztag will just guide you along the way.
We remind you that « configuration » mode is obtained by unplugging your rabbit, then plugging it back while SIMULTANEOUSLY pressing and holding the button on the Nabaztag’s head.
When the lights turn to blue, you can release the button.
After a few seconds, you should see a Wi-Fi network called NABAZTAGxx (with XX being two random letters) on your PC /Mac/pad.
Connect to this network, and then type the URL http://192.168.0.1 in your web browser. You will get the following set-up page.
(If your PC /Mac is also cable-connected to the internet, it is advisable to unplug this cable during the configuration phase to avoid conflict with the Wi-Fi connection)
The set up page is veeery long; you must scroll right TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE
And then it grows longer…
Here, in the "Violet platform" field, type www.nabizdead.net, as on the figure above. Then click on "Update and start".
Then the rabbit reboots and connects to NabizDead.net ! You made it !!
Should difficulties arise:
You cannot connect your PC to your rabbit’s network, or you can’t reach the URL 192.168.0.1: try with a Wi-Fi smartphone (iphone, ipad ...), which generally works better.
The rabbit reboots, but remains stuck on 2 green lights: this is a DSN problem. Try to type 220.127.116.11/~nabizdea instead of www.nabizdead.net on the set up page.
The rabbit reboots, but remains stuck on 3 green lights. A few rabbits work on firmware 0.0.0.9, which is a problem when connecting to some access points. You can check your rabbit’s firmware at the bottom of the set up page (in the figure above, it is 0.0.0.11).
You will find a compatible firmware here. ONLY UPDATE YOUR FIRMWARE IF YOU HAVE A PERSISTENT PROBLEM CONNECTING TO THE SERVER.
