've just got a nabaztag, absolutely love it except...

I use a Netgear DG834GT v1.02.04 that connects wirelessly to my home pc via a Netgear WPN311 pci card, normally a very strong connection.
I've reserved IP addresses for the PC (198.162.0.2) and the Nabaztag (192.168.0.4) but when the Nabaztag is connected, the PC wireless connection becomes unusable - still there just very sloooow.
Anyone had this problem?
Is there any setting I could use to stop the Nabaztag from taking over my entire bandwith?

Give an IP adress in the config page of your rabbit and indicate DHCP = "NO"

Thanks - but I think I've tried that and every other variable, WEP on/off, IP reserved, router firewall on/off, DHCP on/off etc (saying that it was late...) but will give it another go tonight and post results.
Just so I know it's possible, is anyone happy with the connections working with a similar setup? i.e 1 wireless router, 1 wireless PC and a rabbit?

Hi,

I got this setup and I never have a problem. The Dhcp is on YES. I let my router deal with all the things itself yellownabzwink
Sometimes, there are 2 PC, 1 laptop and the rabbit in the same time and everybody is ok (me too yellownabzhappy)

Did you give :
IP adress : 192.168.0.X
mask subnet : 255.255.255.0
Local gateway : 192.168.X.X (IP of your routeur)
DNS serveur : DNS IP of your ISP

...I'm sure I did... will have to try all that again tonight.

But like I said it was late - Probably a bad idea to start messing with router settings when only the joy of a fresh nabaztag was keeping me awake yellownabzsmile
Anyway thanks so much for the replies, I'll let you know how I get on.

No joy.. curses! Every possible combo results in the PC connection dying... This is so annoying coz the rabbit is a perfect gizmo to further geekify my wife and it's so damn cool!
There's a chance my router is iffy, i't's been cutting out a bit recently and I was thinking of buying a new one soon anyway so might leave it till then.
Thanks for the help though folks cheers. I'll probably keep trying and will post any further news .
In the mean time if anyone else fancys posting if they had to figure out any complicated router stuff (v technical me) it'll be much appreciated yellownabzsmile

It works! I love you
Haven't a clue why since i didn't change anything since the last effort, just plugged it in today and it's all fine.
I still suspect a dodgy router, fingers crossed it'll stay like this...
Thanks for the info aerosmiss and thanks for the help marfab!
