| Hello, I also had the problem with 3 green + 4th which flickers. I recieved my tag/tag on the 17th december and I finally got it to connect today. Right from the start I managed to get it connected to my network and I could see that connections to violet servers were attempted. Knowing that violet server were in a state of flux I decided to wait a bit but since then I have read that several tag/tag were able to connect I decided to try again. So if the problem is on the network side on basic tcp/ip I thought that I might try putting a http proxy to clean out any packet framing errors that might be there. I installed freeproxy from http://www.handcraftedsoftware.org/ on an xp box on my network. I set it up as a http proxy listening on port 8080 and configured the tag/tag to use this local machine as a http proxy in the advanced setup. The tag/tag then immediately came to life! So I guess there is something wrong with the tcp packets that the tag/tag outputs to the network. Could be tcp window size or packet fragmenting but I have not yet investigated this. I guess one of the server performance issues violet is experiences are due to all tag/tag sending malformed packets to the servers. So having a proxy cleaning the packets before hitting the violet servers is a workaround that solved my problem. Violet need to check the tag/tag tcp packets. |

| Hi,
My rabbit also had the three solid green and one flashing orange nose so I set up a proxy as described here. On reboot the rabbit shows all orange, then three green with flashing nose, then all lights go out the ears start to go round once and the lights flash all blue once. Finally the bottom light starts to pulse slowly purple. However after a short time the bottom light stats to pulse orange. The rabbit then connects again and the light starts to pulse purple again. This happens on a pretty regular 2 minute cycle. The longest I've let it run for is 10-12 hours.
As for logging on, the web site still says I have configured no services, but won't let me configure any (even after plenty of cookie deleting etc.).
I admit to having tried to set up the rabbit on the site three times and have asked nabaztag to delete two of these users, but as with many of you have had no response.
Has anyone shared these circumstances, got a further workround.
If I do not use the proxy server the rabbit never gets further than the three solid green, flashing nose scenario. |

| Hi,
Thanks. I've just tried this and my firmware is now version 10. However, it has made no change. I can still only get the rabbit to rotate its ears and turn purple on the bottom via a proxy.
The proxy shows me that the rabbit sends a number of gets for vl/bc.jsp vl/locate.jsp vl/p4.jsp
It then repeats the last one about every two minutes and that is as far as I've ever got. I guess I'm connected but the nabaztag website still tells me I have confgured no services and won't let me. |

| Tried it, no joy!
My config is a netgear WGT624 using 128 bit wep encryption. DHCP is supplied by a Windows 2003 server.
All these are working. I can see the rabbit has been assigned an IP address and does connect to the internet but problem of three green and flashing nose continues, unless I also use a proxy server. Then I get the ears rotating etc...
but I got that with firmware 9 |
