Hi all,
anybody know if is it necesary open any port in my Internet router to allow Violet to connect to my rabbit? (I have NAT addresses in my LAN and my Bunny has the 172.26.0.111 internal IP).
By the way, how Violet connects to the Bunnies?
Thank you in advance,
Sergio

Hi Sergio,
No it is not necessary to use of NAT. In fact the rabbit perform a connection to violet's servers at regular intervals using the http protocol.

Sujet: Where is a connection manual or FAQ (IPs, NAT, Ports, etc)?? Jeu 29 Mar 2007 - 11:19
OK, but I need to know how the rabbit connects to Violet because I have a FireWall and I would like to know to which IP and with which PORT the Bunny establishes a connection to the servers...
Normally I must include all the Ports I want to allow to my internals IP in the RIP (Routing Information Protocol) tables but I found no information in Violet web...
Thanks,
S.

i think the rabit use HTTP protocol (on port 80 to the violet's server). but maybe there is some others ports for streaming with the version 2.
