Can't get my new Nabaztag to connect to *any router*

Hi,

I just got the Nabaztag and I'm trying to set it up, but it won't work.
I got a Linksys WRT54G v5. I can connect with the laptop to Nabaztag
and to the router, but when im trying to get Nabaztag to connect to the
router after setting it up with the laptop it just keeps blinking orange.

I use mixed network mode without WEP (no security) and with DHCP.

Did you enter the SSID of your network?
DHCP on yes?

What do you call a mixed network mode? Is it the b/g mode?

Yes, I can even find the SSID when I search for it in the settings page of the Nabazag. DHCP is turned on and the mixed mode is b/g. I also use channel 11.

Any ideas?

Don't you have to press a button on your router to associate a new wifi material?

Don't think so. I've never had to do that before. But I tried it, but it didn't help.

Is the rabbits webserver supposed to die when it tries to connect to the router? Tried to ping it, right after I click the update-and-start-button it stops responding.

Honesty, I don't know. I'm going to call the nabz vet. I hope he'll be able to come soon.

Can you describe rabbit's colors when you clic on start/update button ?
1 first green light : your rabbit finds your router
2nd green light : your rabbit has an IP adress
3rd green light : you access to nabaztag server

The first one flashes orange and the rest stay orange (even the nose). After a while they all start to flash orange (I guess it times out then). Any suggestions?

Ok so your rabbit did not reach your routeur.

I think your SSID or your WEP keey is wrong (try first). Enter your WEP key with ":" beteween couples of letters ou numbers even if your Nabaztag made it.

Second issue : don't forget to put your PC on infrastructure mode after rabbit configuration

I select the SSID from the "join" in the configuration when you search for networks. I'm not using any WEP, do I have to use it to get it working?

What is infrastructure mode? (Using a Mac if that makes any diffrence).

In config page did you select WEP encryption "NO" ?

Yes, I selected "NO".

I guess Proxy server on "NO" too.

In y mind I think Nabaztag conf is good. Do you have any MAC adresss filter on your routeur.

Look in your routeur conf if you see MAC adress of your rabbit

No, I used to have it before. But I have disabled it now to try to get it working. No luck though. And yes, the proxy is disabled.

So I think that SSID must be wrong. If nabaztag can't reach your routeur that indicates that something is wrong.

Best issue : try it with a friend who has a wifi access too.

I've tried to change the SSID to lots of different names, still no luck. I've tried to enter the name manually and using the "scan wifi networks". I think it's a bit strange since it can find the network in the "scan wifi networks" and it display the network settings without any problems.

Do you write the SSID exactly the same way that is it written when you are scanning the networks? Some nabz owners had some problems with the " _ "

Btw, what should the "Authentication Type" be set to? In the router I can set it to 'Auto' or 'Shard Key'. I use 'Auto' now since the Mac doesn't want to connect otherwise. What should I use on the Nabaztag?

I've tried using the SSIDs: 'Glass', 'Glass2', 'abcd', 'linksys123', none have worked so far.

I'm using Shared Key now, still not working though. I think I have got an evil bunny!

Use my first solution : see a friend with wifi access and plug your rabbit on his network.

I've tried to connect to a friends router now, that didn't work either.
