guys

I understand you have problem moving to the new Violet platform but I'm really tired of all the connection malfunction,
I own two rabbit, one is mine, the other owned by my wife, let me says both the rabbit works totally at random

what is working:

- messages between rabbits;
- talking clock;
- RSS reader;
- weather;
- streaming radio, sometimes work;

what is not working:

- both rabbit ignores the wake and sleep settings and stay EVER awakened (or sleeping, depending of my last action with the power supply);
- wake-up clock (see above)
- podcast: no one works
- email notify: no one works (two account checked)
- ears communion : no way, the site says "I cant add the component to this object" (Very cool, considering we are a couple...);
- user nabcast: where are?
- streaming radio, most of time do not work, or starts at different hours

I wrote to the support, replies vary from "try to detach the rabbit from the main line" (both of them defective?) to "strange, we will inform the technicians"...
two week and the rabbits still ignores my commands, ignore podcast, dont wake up my family and continue to sleep

please fix something or. at least, notice the users about the problem (why I can see "all service online" ? Not for me, for sure)

still no podcast ... I've some doubt about podcast format and URL
its ok to put into a standard feed:// containing an XML with mp3s
like this one for example: feed://podcasting.105.net/zoobest/zoobest.xml

If you mean the address you wrote in your podcast configuration begins with a feed://...
I'm not sure at all it's the right format... It should begin with http://... Shouldn't it ?

Honestly I dont know... I have a site listing all the italian&english podcasts and all the addresses are like feed or rss, with the only difference they contains mp3 files and not text

I added a podcats containing .ogg audio and Violet refused the address, probably they do some sort of check if there are mp3 or not ... ?

anyone succesfully added an external podcast here?

I had it similar. For me it was a router problem! I wrote very detailed about it on http://nafcom.blogspot.com/2008/12/troubleshoot-nabaztag-nabaztagtag.html

My (two) nabaztag are 1 to 2 meters from the router and the router is an Airport Extreme (updated).
I have a Rovio and two Spykee connected and all works fine (except the rabbit) also from outside (I use a dyndns redirection).

Like a magic trick some time ago suddenly I listened the podcast for two days then suddenly back to the usual status (eg, the rabbit ignores them).

Support was unable to give me a decent answer, in my opinion its impossible the problem is the rabbit or the router because the other services works fine (eg Meteo, stream radio and so on), there is no network difference with podcast (except the platform forgot to notice the rabbit to play them...)

I hope they fix violet once for all ..
