streaming audio?

i can not get my tag/tag to play web radio, excepting the trial address given on teh api page. i send, and get the "has been sent" response, but i am doing something wrong! the page says if there are mp3s they will be played, but almost all webradio stations i am coming across are .pls or .asx compilations of mp3s. someone please help and tell me what i am doing wrong...
