hello to all ! my nabz (tag/tag) is working fine but some questions has come to my mind...
when sending message (text to speech or music) there seems to be 90secs limit but when podcasting my nabz plays random amount of time then stops or freezes completely (plays 2-12 mins) (podcasting freezes more often then mp3streams)
and when using direct api mp3streaming it buffers a lot (even when radio has lots of capacity and i have 8/8mb line too with 500mbwifi and 1gb lan network with just couple of devices in lan and only wifi device is nabz)
and sound is distorted (not volume issue tough) (maybe bitrate converting issue?)
lots of radiostreams tryed but its weird that it comes better quality if it nabz play stream more then 20min...
but then comes another funny issue... if i can play radiostream almost unlimited time how can i stop my nabz playing ??

if streming quality is "controlled" trough api.nabaztag.com can that be changed or even better can nabz play songs or streams directly on my computer ? (so would save lots of network bandwith between nabaztag.com and nabz =) )

You can stop your nabz playing radio by pressing the button between it's ears .

I can't explain how to do it, but I'm sure you can stream mp3 music from your computer directly to your nabz. You'll just have to dig harder to find how Must be explained somewhere on this forum though.

i did find something but they were linux based ? and i dont have linux =(
and that top button works.. thanks for that.. (its really sad there aint no manual or something where all these things would have been explained)

Oh sorry, you wanna listen to your music on the nabz? Very easy : just download "slim server" and put it on your computer. By this program, you'll be abble to send all the music on your computer to your rabbit, radios, and some music website streamings (life 365 for example).

There is a tutorial here, but it's in french... Maybe you'll find it in english.

yes i've tryed that slimserver and thats not the program i wanted...
slimserver just is a server that when i play stuff on my computer it goes to the internet (or here localhost) but when i want to listen it it goes trough this api.nazbatag.com and then comes to my nabz ie. not directly...
i would want a way that it would have nothing to do with api.nabaztag.com

example what i want = i play mp3 in my computer -> it goes wifi network -> then to nabz
(this would propably require some kind of program that understands wifi and nabaztag command sending)

and now = if i have shoutcast server or slimserver etc it goes -> my server -> api.nabaztag.com -> back to my network -> nabz

You have to install opennab. A nabaznaute created it. It release you from Violet.

yep.. that may free me from nabaztag.com but it requires apache server with php... in windows machines its really hard to configure/install those so linux/unix/solaris etc maybe only good platform for those...
it would be nice if there would be some standalone program (not requiring these apaches etc) but maybe im asking too much

(btw if someone needs translations in finnish i can do that =) or maybe finnish topic ? )
